Sandy Hlasten is
a “Southern” lady, raised in Mobile, Alabama
and now residing in Columbus, Ohio. She
and her husband Tom own and operate the
“clock-warehouse”, the largest clock outlet
in the Midwest.
Sandy’s interest in art was influence by
her Dad. He was a self taught landscape
artist and through osmosis passed his talent
on to Sandy. Her teachers include Susie
Schreiber, Mary Spires, and Don
Dodrill.
Various awards from Schumacher Gallery and
Lancaster Festival have been her pride and
joy along with the social and learning
aspects of the
Worthingon Area Art League, The
Bexley Art
League, and the Lancaster Art League, all of
which she enjoys membership.
The clock business has allowed Sandy to
travel through-out Europe enjoying her
hobbies of skiing, shopping for antique
clocks, and visiting some of the famous art
museums of England and Continental Europe.
Sandy’s art medium includes contemporary
water color and mixed medium, many times
including clock works in a piece.
