Beyond Bricks and Mortar Is
a juried art exhibition running through the
month of December 2005.
Ursus Gallery
2814 Fishinger Rd. Upper Arlington
www.ursusartspace.com
The Family
Center is the focus of a month long juried
art exhibition at the Ursus Gallery. The
YWCA currently operates the Interfaith
Hospitality network in partnership with the
central Ohio faith community to serve
homeless children and their families. The
program functions with woefully inadequate
day facilities and a complicated network of
transportation systems to sleeping
facilities. These factors make the
difficult work of stabilizing families
already in crisis even more demanding. Now,
thanks to the YWCA, community, and corporate
efforts, a new 24 hour shelter will provide
accommodations to help families get back on
their feet.
**During theng reception, an auction of
artist painted bird houses will
take place. Many of these houses will be
signed by national and local
celebrities, making them even more
attractive to potential buyers. you may be
asked to sign a house, paint a house, help
construct a house or become a valuable
individual/corporate sponsor.Artists
participating in Beyond Bricks and Mortar
agree to donate 40% of all sales of artwork
accepted into the exhibition to the Family
Center. (this is art for the gallery wall
space)
