Rachel Stern is exhibiting at the Sharon Weiss Gallery, 20 East Lincoln in the Short North. The exhibit runs from March 3-29. I will be there for Gallery Hop on March 4 from 7-10 PM and for an Artist Reception on March 12 from 2 to 4 PM. The Sharon Weiss Gallery is open Thursday from 12-4 PM; Fridays and Saturdays from 12-5 PM and Sundays from 1-4 PM. The telephone number is 614 291 5683.

Actor's Theatre, which is based in Schiller Park in German Village, is doing a marathon reading of the works of Shakespeare, to try to get into the Guinness Book of World Records. As part of the hoopla surrounding the event, which will be held at the Meeting Haus from April 19 thru 23, we will be doing a silent auction of art related to Shakespeare. There will be room to display paintings, photographic art, and small 3-D works in the main room there. All art must be for sale, with the Theatre Co. taking 50% of sales and the artists 50%. There are no other fees, and the artist sets the minimum bid. If anyone has questions, they should contact me by email, and have art ready for the event by April 10, 2006. I do not know if we will need to jury works into the space; that will depend on response, but if so we will do it from the actual works that week, not from slides.
